Spring 2026 Programs

AFC United soccer programs are based on the birth year of our players.

U4/U6 - players born 2020, 2021, 2022
  • Designed to introduce young children to the game of soccer.

  • Weekly skills session, predominantly on Saturday mornings.  No formal games.

  • Sessions expected to occur during April and May.

U8 - players born 2018, 2019
  • Designed to introduce young children to the game of soccer, and to introduce them to 4v4 gameplay.  Target 6-8 players per team.

  • 2 practices per week, normally Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

  • Weekly 4v4 game at local locations.  Games during April and May, predominantly on Saturday mornings in fall and Sunday afternoons in spring.

U10 - players born 2016, 2017.  Collaboration with AVAA (Mt. Penn).
  • AFC players will join Mt. Penn's Spring 2026 RBJSL coed team.

  • Grassroots-level travel team(s).  Prior experience preferred but not required.  Players should have the desire and commitment to play.

  • Roster limit is 12 players;  additional players may be placed on a waiting list and/or may join the team for practices and friendlies only.

  • Players may attend practice at AFC or at Mt. Penn.

  • 6 game home-and-away schedule in Reading-Berks Junior Soccer League.  League games beginning in late March and continuing until mid-May, predominantly on Sunday afternoons.

U11 - players born 2015.  Collaboration with Kutztown Soccer Club. 
  • AFC players will join Kutztown's Spring 2026 RBJSL boys team.

  • Grassroots-level travel team(s).  Prior experience preferred but not required.  Players should have the desire and commitment to play.

  • Roster limit is 16 players; additional players may be placed on a waiting list and/or may join the team for practices and friendlies only.

  • Players may attend practice at AFC or at Mt. Penn.

  • 6 game home-and-away schedule in Reading-Berks Junior Soccer League.  League games beginning in late March and continuing until mid-May, on either Saturdays or Sunday afternoons.

U14 - players born 2012, 2013, 2014.  Collaboration with AVAA (Mt. Penn). 
  • AFC players will join Mt. Penn's Spring 2026 RBJSL coed team.

  • Grassroots-level travel team(s).  Prior experience preferred but not required.  Players should have the desire and commitment to play.

  • Roster limit is 12 players;  additional players may be placed on a waiting list and/or may join the team for practices and friendlies only.

  • Players may attend practice at AFC or at Mt. Penn.

  • 6 game home-and-away schedule in Reading-Berks Junior Soccer League.  League games beginning in late March and continuing until mid-May, predominantly on Sunday afternoons.

U15+ - players born 2011 and older
AFC United 07 - RBJSL schedule 
  • Coed grassroots-level travel team(s).  Prior experience preferred but not required.  Players should have the desire and commitment to play.

  • Priority in registration for returning players.  Roster limit is 22 players; additional players may be placed on a waiting list and/or may join the team for practices and friendlies only.

  • 2 practices per week, normally Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

  • 6 game home-and-away schedule in Reading-Berks Junior Soccer League.  League games beginning in late March and continuing until mid-May, either Saturday or Sunday afternoon.  Saturday games will be requested.

  • Possibility of end-of-season friendlies in late May/early June.
