Fall 2024 Programs

AFC United soccer programs are based on the birth year of our players.

​

U19 (AFC United 06) - players born 2006, 2007, 2008

• Coed grassroots-level travel team.  Prior experience preferred but not required.  Players should have the desire and commitment to play.

• Priority in registration for returning players.  Roster limit is 22 players;  additional players may be placed on a waiting list and/or may join the team for practices and friendlies only. 

• 2 practices per week.

• ~5 game home-and-away league schedule TBD.  Games beginning in mid-October and continuing until mid-November, on either Saturday or Sunday afternoons.  Saturday afternoon games will be requested.

U16 (AFC United 09) - players born 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012

• Coed grassroots-level travel team.  Prior experience preferred but not required.  Players should have the desire and commitment to play.

• Priority in registration for returning players.  Roster limit is 22 players;  additional players may be placed on a waiting list and/or may join the team for practices and friendlies only. 

• 2 practices per week.

• 9 game home-and-away schedule in Reading-Berks Junior Soccer League.  League games beginning in early September and continuing until mid-November, on either Saturday or Sunday afternoons. Saturday afternoon games will be requested.

U12 (AFC United 13) - players born 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016

• Coed grassroots-level 9v9 team.  Prior experience preferred but not required.  Players should have the desire and commitment to play.

• Priority in registration for returning players.  Roster limit is 16 players;  additional players may be placed on a waiting list and/or may join the team for practices and friendlies only.

• 2 practices per week.

• 9 game home-and-away schedule in Reading-Berks Junior Soccer League.  League games beginning in early September and continuing until mid-November, on either Saturdays or Sunday afternoons. Saturday games will be requested.

U8 players born 2017, 2018

• Designed to introduce young children to the game of soccer, and to introduce them to 4v4 gameplay.  Target 6-8 players per team.

• 2 practices per week.

• Weekly 4v4 game at local locations.  Games from early September through early November, predominantly on Saturday mornings in fall and Sunday afternoons in spring.

U4/U6 - players born 2019, 2020, 2021

• Designed to introduce young children to the game of soccer.

• Weekly skills session at Bethany Macungie, predominantly on Saturday mornings.  No formal games.

• Sessions expected to occur during September and October.

• *Child must be 3 years old in order to participate.
